Play a Round of Golf

It can be a nightmare trying to secure a tee time on Nantucket, let alone an inexpensive one. But the Sconset Golf Course, known to local golfers simply as Skinner’s, provides a cheap, available option for those feeling the urge to get some golf in.
Tee times can be reserved up to seven days in advance to play the Land Bank-operated nine-hole course off Milestone Road. It costs $50 to play nine holes. If you are craving more than a nine-hole game, you can play two consecutive nine-hole rounds for $70.

It is a great spot for kids trying to learn the game with a junior rate of $15 per nine holes for anyone 18 and under. It also offers rental clubs for $25 and walking trolleys for $7.

The course was established in 1899, so if you are trying to get a taste of Nantucket history while tending to your inner need for some golf, it could be worth your while to check out the Sconset Golf Course.
